We do all of these things and more. If you are considering a career in the Coast Guard, Navy, or maritime industry and would like to learn more about it, or if you would like to participate in our regatta competitions (think track meet with a nautical focus and mental and physical competitions), dances/rendezvous (Sea Scouts have female crews too), and cruises, then you should check out Sea Scouts! Our 102 ft. ship (the S.S.S. Northland) has one of the top crews in the country - you can be a part of this too!
We meet for training on the S.S.S. Northland near our Base in Dock 4, next to the Red Oak Victory Museum Ship in the Port of Richmond, CA.
Every Saturday from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
Our crew is open to male youth from ages 13 to 18 who want to learn and participate in our program. We also welcome and will train adult leaders who want to learn and help teach the youth. The Northland does not currently have a female crew but can refer interested young women to ships that do.
